Bears reportedly plan to work out former Titans defensive tackle Jordan Elliott next week.
According to NFL insider Jordan Schultz, as relayed by SB Nation and Windy City Gridiron, Tennessee released Elliott on October 20 after an October 15 practice altercation in which he left the facility and went to his car to grab a gun. The NFL is investigating, since bringing a gun onto team property violates league rules. Titans coach Robert Saleh has said Elliott was dealing with personal stuff.

Windy City Gridiron's post-Simmons-trade Bears mock draft projects Alabama cornerback Zabien Brown in Round 2.
Chicago traded its 2026 and 2028 first-round picks to Tennessee for All-Pro defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons, leaving the Bears without a first-round pick in 2027. The mock draft, generated with the PFN simulator, says the Bears' first 2027 pick comes on Day 2 and that cornerback is now their biggest roster need. The author notes Jaylon Johnson could be released to free cap space.
